Recently Hyundai has made investments in safety technology. So it’s exciting to be recognized for outstanding safety by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Three Hyundai models, the 2016 Genesis, the 2016 Sonata and the 2016 Tucson, were awarded IIHS Top Safety Pick honors when equipped with optional Automatic Emergency Braking.
Innovative sensors and systems now enable Hyundai drivers to monitor vehicles and conditions on the road ahead, to the rear and even in areas commonly referred to as ‘blind spots’ from the comfort of the driver seat. And most importantly receive a series of warnings when a system detects a condition that could require their attention and action. Available on select Hyundai vehicles, these advanced safety features include: Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Blind Spot Detection with Rear Cross-traffic Alerts, Lane Change Assist and Smart Cruise Control.
Safety features can mean the difference between skidding and stopping in time to avoid an accident. That’s why we include important safety technologies in every Hyundai vehicle. We outfit them with features like anti-lock brakes and Electronic Brake-force Distribution to give you more stopping power. Our Electronic Stability Control and Traction Control System help you keep your vehicle from skidding. Our goal is to provide a vehicle that helps you maintain control when it matters most.
Each year, the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) tests vehicles to determine their performance in several kinds of collisions. For 2015, seven Hyundai vehicles were awarded NHTSA’s highest honor. Hyundai’s 5-Star Overall Safety Rating winners include: Santa Fe Sport, Elantra, Veloster, Veloster Turbo, Sonata, Sonata Hybrid and Genesis.
Hyundai vehicles are filled with safety features we hope you’ll never have to use. Advanced technology along with innovative safety features are an integral part of three Hyundai models being awarded IIHS Top Safety Pick honors.
